Salem Public Library welcomes Willamette History Professor Ellen Eisenberg, whose presentation is just one of the many programs at the Library this  summer related to the traveling exhibit “In a Nutshell: the Worlds of Maurice Sendak.”

Dr. Eisenberg will explore the east-coast immigrant world in which Sendak was raised– a world often considered synonymous with the American Jewish experience– and provide a local comparison by examining the Jewish experience in Oregon.

7 p.m. –  August 17, 2011
Loucks Auditorium at Salem Public Library, 585 Liberty St. SE.

The presentation is free and open to the public, with seating on a first-come, first-seated basis.
