Margaret Kilbuck Johansen
Margaret Kilbuck Johansen was a noted fiber artist in Oregon. Originally having studied lithography, she began weaving after moving to the Pittsburgh area in the mid-1950s, quickly becoming proficient and by the 1960s at the forefront of the emerging Fiber Art Movement in America.
In conjunction with the 2021 Conference of the Association of Northwest Weavers Guilds (ANWG) and in association with the Salem Fiberarts Guild and Johansen’s family, the WHC will host a retrospective of Johansen’s work in the Summer of 2021.
