Weaving I

Learn a fun new skill with a series of private lessons with an experienced weaver! Together you will tackle basic four harness weaving, including warping, threading, and some of the weave structures important for a beginner to understand. Cost includes instruction, loom rental and materials to complete one project. Class is held on Fridays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm for four weeks.

Weaving II

Beyond the basics of weaving, this class allows the student to focus on the next level. The instructor will assist you in your choice of areas such as double weave and designing cloth for specific uses. Beginning weaving skills are required for this more advanced class. Cost includes instruction, loom rental and materials to complete one project. Class is held on Fridays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm for 4 weeks.

Advanced Weaving

This class is for the experienced weaver who wishes to explore more advanced/complicated weaving techniques. It may include inkle or tablet weaving at student request. Includes four one-hour sessions with a professional-level weaver, class time to be arranged with instructor, with additional studio time to complete project. Students will provide their own materials.

$75 WHC member          $85 Non-member

Bobbin or Tatted Lace

Lace making is a specialized skill rarely seen today. Our instructor will introduce you to this fine hand work useful in embellishments and finishing touches for your textile creations.  Bobbin lace or tatting classes available, please specify when registering.  Beginners are welcome. Class time to be arranged with instructor after payment is received.
