Story  John Wolff worked as a wool dealer and wool washer for TKWM from 1900-1911ish. His daughters Anna, Emma, and Retha also worked for TKWM. 

John Wolff was born in March 1856 in Wisconsin to German immigrants Anton and Anna [Jodsack] Wolff. At the time of the 1870 census, he was the eldest of eight children. His father was a farmer. John came to Marion County, OR prior to his marriage and took up farming. He married Mary Neibert 28 Dec 1878 in Salem. The couple had six children. 

Around 1900 John took work with the Thomas Kay Woolen Mill as a wool dealer and washer. The family lived at 470 S 24th St. In Salem. On 5 Oct 1923, at age 76, John was in a hit and run accident when his horse and buggy was hit by an automobile. Though his injuries were not pronounced grave at the time, he died 5 days later. He was buried in the Catholic Cemetery in Salem. Wife Mary died in 1941 at age 84 and was buried beside him.
