Jeannetta “Netta” McAllister was born 24 Dec 1861 in Montpelier, Wisconsin to August and Agnes Amelia [Hall] McAllister. She was one of seven children born to the couple. The family emigrated to Salem in 1890, via Kansas. 

She worked briefly at the Thomas Kay Woolen Mill with her sister Myrta, as a seamstress. Then took work as a housekeeper. She married Stephen W Minor in Vancouver, WA on 18 Oct 1913. He was an engineer by training and his work projects took them to various locations in Oregon. The couple had no children. 

Husband Stephen died 2 Oct 1930 in Gresham, OR. After his death Netta lived with various nieces and nephews and went back to her first name, Abby.  She died 18 Mar 1942 in Dallas, OR. She was buried in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Dallas.
