Willamette Heritage Center to close between Nov. 18 and Jan. 5

The Willamette Heritage Center (WHC) will be closed starting Wednesday, November 18 per Governor Brown’s new measures and will remain closed until Tuesday, January 5 out of an abundance of caution for the safety and well-being of our community.

This closure includes the museum exhibits – inside and out – and the Textile Learning Center to all visitors. The Research Library and Archives will be closed to visitors, but we are accepting research requests online. Bella Hill and Teaselwick Wools will remain open Tuesday–Saturday, 11am–4pm unless the Governor’s orders change to include retail shops. Event rentals will be determined on a case by case basis as the Governor provides updates on statewide mandates.

We will miss greeting our guests on-site and encourage our visitors to stay in touch with us online. We have several learning resources available on our website, including a video tour of the Thomas Kay Woolen Mill led by 4th generation owner Tom Kay. Our monthly online speaker series will run through December; 2021 speakers will be announced soon. Sign up for our e-newsletter and follow us on social media @whc_heritage to stay up to date on heritage happenings.
