Story              John Noack worked for TKWM as a spinner from 1917 until his death in 1954. 

            John was born 12 Nov 1884 in Garda, TX to George Noack Sr. and wife Mary Noack. He was one of five children born to the couple after their emigration to the U.S. from Germany. The family moved to Oregon around 1896. Father George passed away in 1907 when the family lived in the Salem area. Older boys John, Paul and George took work to support the family. Paul and George at the Thomas Kay Woolen Mill and John at odd jobs until he joined the brothers in 1917. 

            John never married. He lived with his mother until her death, then took lodgings. He died 25 July 1954 in Salem and was buried in City View Cemetery.
