The United States Flower Map Company was formed in Canby, Oregon by six businessmen after being incorporated under the laws of Oregon on March 10, 1911.  The company produced a unique product: maps showing the state flowers of every state in the U.S. (only 46 at the time).  It took the company two years to research and establish the identity of the appropriate flowers for each state and three territories.  Several thousand maps were sold, but due to WWI and subsequent economic times, the remaining maps were stored away in wood crates in a warehouse in Canby.  All but forgotten, the maps were given to the newly formed Canby Historical Society in 1968.

The Canby Historical Society is selling copies of this 100 year old map to benefit the organization.  Learn more here.
