A collection of historic music and band photographs, including Clark M. Will playing his rare E solo trumpet with the back thrust bell that was an important lead instrument of the Old Aurora Colony Band (1856-1883). The trumpet maintained the beat or tempo when there was no drum. The back thrust bell of the trumpet pointed backwards to the group marching behind the band could hear the beat. Learn More
