Edward A. Pero worked for TKWM from 1905 to 1913 as foreman of the finishing department.
Edward was born 26 Feb 1854 in Quebec, Canada to parents Denis and Felonise [Beaupre] Perrault. He married German immigrant Belle M [maiden name unknown) in 1877. They were the parents of four children, one son and three daughters. Edward worked in the wool mill industry first in Bennington, Vermont and then Eaton, New York. Then came to Salem, OR and the Thomas Kay Woolen Mill. Son Edward H. followed his father into the woolen mill trade.
In 1914, at the age of 60 Edward and wife Belle moved to Portland. They lived on 115 E. Alma St. On the 16th of June 1918 Edward died in Salem, at the home of his son Edward H. He was buried in the Lee Mission Cemetery in Salem. Wife Belle followed him in death 30 Jan 1920 while visiting her daughter back East. Her body was brought back to Salem for burial next to Edward in the Lee Mission Cemetery. |
